SPORTS IN NERIDIA'S GATE

After Winter of Tragedy,

Pit Fighting Begins May 1st

After a long winter, one complete with tragedy and heartbreak, the Entertainers’ Guild is pleased to announce that beginning May 1st, the pit fighting season will begin once more.

The athletes have been in training these last several months as their promoters schedule matches. Exhibition matches will be held across Neridia on the twenty-first of April, pitting veterans against rising upstarts each determined to unseat the top ranked and show well in the rankings.

These exhibition matches will determine future premier pit fighting events between the top ranked pit fighters. While many still believe that Jarnok will hold onto his title but still others remain convinced that some promising young pit fighters from the Northern Duchies of Neridia will show well. There are a few who are placing their bets that one of the many visitors to Neridia from lands afar may just be the next superstar of pit fighting.

The Entertainers Guild would like to invite everyone, Neridian citizen or visitor to come view the various exhibition matches throughout the Foreign Quarter in the next upcoming weeks, especially that one Saturday previously mentioned and encourages everyone to not hesitate to take a chance and fight against top ranked pit fighters.

Come one, Come all and join the fun that only pit fighting can bring!
