Special Orders
The
Crown Dagger is a group of Royal Knights charged with
the protection of the King and his family. They have
extraordinary powers to enforce any requirements they
see as necessary for the safety of their charge. The
members of this group have no special form of
address.
The Order
of the Swords is a group made of nobles and commoners alike
representing different virtues which nobility must exhibit. These
virtues being related to the tenets of the Neridian Chivalric
Code: Justice, Duty, Freedom, Compassion, Honesty, Purity, Valor,
and Honor. They hold no additional noble power but are expected
to carry themselves with noble bearing. A member of the Order of
the Swords is referred to as Sword of <the virtue they
represent> and the head of each branch of the Order as High
Sword of <the virtue they represent>.
Honors Available
Rare and difficult to obtain, with only one
honor obtainable per heroic deed
Key to the City:
a small platinum key that can be worn by the individual who
successfully delivers a major evildoer into the hands of the City
Watch or the Constable for justice. The evildoer must be alive and
must have presented a clear & certain danger to the city and/or
the Kingdom.
Hero’s Circlet:
silver circlet given for gallantry against a superior foe.
Silver Sash:
conferred for action of personal bravery and sacrifice beyond the
call of duty. Often awarded after resurrection when one makes the
ultimate sacrifice by putting the lives of others before their own.
Dove’s Bracelet:
awarded for superior diplomatic aptitude that results in successful
negotiation of a peace treaty that ends or prevents a battle or war,
of a trade agreement that furthers the prosperity of Neridia’s
Gate as well as the Kingdom, or any agreement/negotiation that
significantly benefits the city.
Emerald Plume:
granted to those who, through extensive research, played a key role
in the defeat of an enemy of the Kingdom.
