A Regent is a member of the nobility holding at least the rank of Knight who is set to serve as ruler in another's place due to infirmity, injury, disappearance, sudden death, or inability to currently meet the requirements of rulership due to age or current rank. A Regent may rule over any part of the Kingdom, an estate, barony, duchy, or even the kingdom in its entirety. The District of Winterthorne has been governed by one holding the title of Regent since it lost the status of Grand Duchy two hundred and fifty years ago. A Regent is addressed with his highest form of address or My Lord Regent and any title higher than Knight is appended (Baron, Grand Duke, or Crown Prince).

A High Chamberlain is a noble holding at least the rank of Royal Knight who is given responsibilities toward the everyday management of the affairs of the Kingdom. In general all lesser nobles report to the appropriate High Minister, the High Ministers report to the High Chamberlain, and the High Chamberlain reports directly to the King. A High Chamberlain speaks with the King's Voice in all matters and may only be overruled by the King or Neridian Council as a whole. The High Chamberlain is addressed as My Lord High Chamberlain and any title higher than Knight is appended (Baron, Grand Duke, or Crown Prince).

A High Minister is a noble holding at least the rank of Royal Knight who is given responsibilities toward a specific subset of the everyday management of the Kingdom. For example a High Minister of Works is in charge of all construction within the Kingdom and a High Minister of Trade is responsible for all trade within the Kingdom. The appointing of a new High Minister is the power of the High Chamberlain. There are an ever-changing number of High Ministers responsible for the various aspects of governance as needed. A High Minister is addressed as my Lord High Minister of <function> and any title higher than Knight is appended (Baron, Grand Duke, or Crown Prince).

A Minister is a person who is given responsibilities toward a specific purpose in the everyday management of the Kingdom. For example below the High Minister for Trade may be a Minister of Trade with the Kingdom of Quentari or with the Kingdom of Evendarr. The appointing of a new Minister is the power of the High Ministers. There are an ever-changing number of Ministers responsible for the various aspects of governance as needed. A Minister is addressed as Minister and any title Knight or higher is appended.

A Minister Extraordinary is a noble holding at least the rank of Royal Knight who has responsibilities that may require him to act as a High Minister due to overlap of function. A Minister Extraordinary may speak as a High Minister if in their opinion the need to do so is relevant to their function. A Minister Extraordinary is addressed by his highest rank and is given any extra notation for his ministry.

An Ambassador is a noble holding at least the rank of Royal Knight and is given power to speak for the Kingdom in foreign affairs. An Ambassador's appointment may be to a specific nation or people or may be without a set nation of responsibility. An Ambassador's powers may be limited in which case they may only agree to specific predetermined decisions before needing to consult with the Crown or the power may be plenipotentiary in which case the Ambassador speaks with the King's Voice. An Ambassador is addressed as My Lord Ambassador and any title. An Ambassador from a foreign nation is treated with respect and granted diplomatic immunity to all crimes under low justice. The same is expected of all Ambassadors from Neridia traveling in foreign lands as part of their duty. There is a fairly high tolerance for what may be considered acts of treason or espionage due to the nature of the ambassadorial position and the difficulty caused by prosecution of a foreign Ambassador.

An Attaché is a commoner given limited powers to carry out diplomatic missions by the Crown. An Attaché is never granted diplomatic immunity.

A Constable is not a noble but is charged by the governing noble of an estate, barony, or duchy, to enforce the laws and administer low justice, the punishment of any crime not requiring a sentence of death or denial.
